Death toll from Adamawa suicide attack hits 60

The death toll from the Mubi multiple suicide bomb attack in Adamawa state has hit 60. Two suicide bombers found their way into a market and a mosque in Mubi town and detonated their IED vest, killing many people including children yesterday afternoon.

The suicide bombers hit the popular Gwonjo Market where second-hand clothes are sold and a mosque about 20 meters away at about 1:30pm.

A resident of the state, Garba Habu, who witnessed the attacks said ‘’A boy of about 18-19 years wearing a suicide vest was said to have entered the mosque along with other worshippers. Immediately after the prayers, he detonated the bomb.”
